Mr. Charles Arthur Sharp was born to the
union of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Sharp in Crockett, Texas. At an early age he united with the Union Chapel Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. E. Bailey. He attended the public schools of Crockett and later served in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1945. He moved to Palestine in 1947 and began working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company as a carman, a position he held until his death. He was married to Miss Eulalia Watson and to this union two children were born. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eulalia Watson Sharp; one son, Charles Ray Sharp; one daughter, Mrs. Cleamie Jean Sharp Lynn; three grandchildren, Julias and Crist Lynn, Jacan Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Elvester Gilmore, Houston, Texas;one brothers, Mr. Osker Sharp, Seattle, Washington; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. |
